Why is the old affiliate program no longer working?

"Old" Affiliate Program includes all affiliates registered before 2021, where all commission payouts were made manually, via PayPal.  Due to the suspension of PayPal services in Russia, we will not be able to accumulate and send affiliate commissions through PayPal anymore.

What will be with my pending commission?

The amount on your balance is considered valid and pending at the time of closing the program - March 10, 2022. New subscriptions and recurring commissions won't be accumulated anymore. As soon as we find a way to transfer the funds, we will announce it. We're terribly sorry, however currently there's no way to transfer the funds due to the sanctions.

Recently, we have launched a new affiliate program based on split payouts, powered by Paddle (our main payment processor). The contract terms remain the same - you'll get 30% recurring commission for as long as your referral is an Elfsight customer.

The main difference is that the referral transaction is split, and you get your funds immediately into your Paddle account. You can then withdraw funds to your PayPal, Payoneer or bank account at your convenience.

How to create a new affiliate account?

  1. Please create a new Elfsight account, using a new email — https://apps.elfsight.com/sign-up/?isAffiliate
  2. Go to Affiliates tab and click "Create a Paddle account" button:

  3. Then check your inbox to find an email from Paddle Seller Support <[email protected]> with your login and password. Login to your Paddle dashboard and find your Paddle ID at the top of the Authentication page.

  4. Copy your Paddle ID and insert it into a blank Paddle ID field on the Affiliate tab in the Elfsight dashboard. 

Once you have activated your new affiliate account, grab your new affiliate link from the Referral link tab and replace all your old affiliate links with it.

Can I transfer my "old" referrals to new Paddle program?

Unfortunately, not. We're developing the way how to fix this, and we'll keep you updated if anything changes. The only thing you can do is to create a new account for the "old" referral via a new affiliate Paddle link. Then re-subscribe them for Elfsight. We will help you to move already existing client's widgets to his/her new Elfsight account. If you need to do this, please reach us at [email protected]

In conclusion

We do understand the measures taken by PayPal, and we absolutely respect them. We'd love to point out that our company is international that comprises people throughout the world, including Ukraine, and there is only part of our team situated in Russia.

Please rest assured that we are not affected by sanctions, and we keep working as usual. What is more, our servers are located in the USA and our payment processing company Paddle is located in the UK, so no issues with either widgets performance, payments or affiliate commissions should occur.
